SWEET & SOUR MEATBALLS



INGREDIENTS:

1-2 lb ground beef
1 egg
1 Tbsp cornstarch
2 Tbsp onion, minced
Dash of pepper



Mix and form all above ingredients into 18 or more balls. Brown in small amount of oil. (Or bake in 350° F oven about 30 minutes.) Drain fat.

SAUCE:

1 Tbsp oil
1 cup pineapple juice
3 Tbsp cornstarch
1 Tbsp shoyu (soy sauce)
1 Tbsp vinegar
6 Tbsp water
1/2 cup sugar
4 slices canned pineapple, cup into pieces
(or 1/2 can chunk pineapple)
3 large green peppers, cut into strips



Add pineapple juice to it and cook over low heat for a few minutes. Add mixture of cornstarch, soy sauce, vinegar, water and sugar. Cook until juice thickens, stirring constantly. Add meatballs, pineapple, and green peppers. Heat thoroughly. Serve hot.
